Gutter screens are the oldest system that is used. They are affordable and they do a good job of keeping the gutters clear. They are available in a variety of materials like plastic, aluminum, steel, and vinyl.
Covers
Gutter covers come in a variety of styles. Some of the systems have rounded noses which direct the water into a gap that is narrow. Others come with perforated openings or louvered slots. Both systems do the same thing: they direct water and filter out debris.

Toppers are much like covers but come with a surface that is flat and smooth. They also have slots that are each side to ensure that ice and snow slides off and that high water flows in.
Fillers
These are among the latest systems. It is a material which will fit into your rain gutters and that will be flush with your gutter's top. The material is very porous, and it only lets water into the gutter.
